College Park Arts Exchange Book Club meets on third Fridays,7:30 - 9 pm, Old Parish House, 4711 Knox Road, College Park, and focuses on literary non-fiction by women.

July 16: Founding Mothers: The Women who Raised our Nation, by Cokie Roberts.
Roberts brings her strong story-telling instinct to bear on fascinating women from colonial times -- some of whom supported their more famous husbands or sons from behind the scenes. Roberts quotes interesting selections from original documents, modernizing for ease of reading.

August 20: For All the Tea in China: How England Stole the World's Favorite Drink and Changed History, by Sarah Rose. Rose tells an intriguing history of how tea plants were smuggled out of China by a Scotsman, so that England could break the Chinese monopoly on tea by starting tea plantations in India.
