 <title>CPAE BOOK CLUB: For All the Tea in China</title>

&lt;p&gt;College Park Arts Exchange Book Club meets on third Fridays, 7:30 - 9 pm, Old Parish House, 4711 Knox Road, College Park,  and focuses on literary non-fiction by women. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;August 20: For All the Tea in China:  How England Stole the World&#039;s Favorite Drink and Changed History, by Sarah Rose. Rose tells an intriguing history of how tea plants were smuggled out of China by a Scotsman, so that England could break the Chinese monopoly on tea by starting tea plantations in India.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Servants of No Mastery gives rise to hilarity! The actors improvise in the Commedia dell’Arte style, so at any moment, the characters might break into a dance or a song. The outrageous manners and humor of  the servants, called “zanni” yields the modern term “zany comedy.” Anything can happen, and it will! Suitable for all ages!  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Arts and Humanities (AHA!) Cultural Connections series offers free lectures and performances focused on cultural exploration, music, art, literature, and history. &lt;p&gt;Young string players will develop their ensemble and sight-reading skills under the direction of experienced conductor, Ken Whitley. Students rehearse at the Old Parish House,  4711 Knox Road,  College Park, MD,  twice a month, with three  public concerts per year. $275 per child for the year. Students must be taking lessons; auditions for Intermediate Ensemble will be held on  September 12. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Nov.  19,  On Rue Tatin: Living and Cooking in a French Town, by Susan Herrmann Loomis. After buying a dilapidated monastery in a little town, the author learns to cook the food and become part of the local way of life. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dec. 17, The Language of Baklava: A Memoir, by  Diana Abu-Jaber. Raised in upstate New York, but spending much time in Jordan, this Jordanian-American bridges both worlds with recipes.&lt;/p&gt;
